Take a look at the new Carolina Sportsman Guide Service fishing boat for
the upcoming season.
After boating over 1600 fish this past 2005 season, I
realized I needed more room to move around.
This boat will fish up to 6 people and your favorite four legged friend in
case you cannot find a pet sitter.
If it’s to hot we can put up the top and
continue the fishing. Just spin around and let me bait you up for the next
bite.
This boat is so comfortable my wife wants to go fishing with me all the
time.

Location Roanoke Rapids is located off I 95 Exit #173. Roanoke Rapids Lake is a 34 mile long lake with 350 miles of shoreline. The Roanoke River is fed by the Roanoke Rapids Lake starting at the Tail Race Dam and continues to the ocean. We provide everything a person needs to
catch fish with the exception of a valid NC fishing license,
We fish with 18 FT heavy duty Jon boats
and water level permitting; we launch Pontoon boats as the
primary river boat.
We fish live bait with a little something
extra that really makes the fishing aggressive.
All tackle is provided, I will ask if you
have a preference in equipment, spin or bait casters ECT. You
might even have a favorite rod and reel you would like to bring
from your own personal arsenal.
Site/Safety orientations of the fishing
area and nearby facilities are given at the launch site.
The trips are normally 7 hours long, and
the boat launching traffic at the ramp drives the shove off time
in the river. The lake shove off time is decided with the
clients.I am normally in the water by 0700 and shoving off when
all parties are comfortable with their surroundings. Bring a few
snacks, we can eat while continuing to fish or take a break on
the bank, it’s really up to you. Bottled water is a plus when
it‘s hot. I do provide menus on the boat if you would like to
order from the local pizza/sub restaurant, pretty good food but
it cuts a little bit into the fishing time. Make no mistake……..CSGS
is a serious fishing guide service and we are there for YOU to
catch the fish. There are no hidden surprises or fees. I address
all questions and concerns that you may have before during and
after the trip.
The Roanoke River Striped Bass season is a
wonderful opportunity for anyone that enjoys catching great
numbers of fighting fish. Season dates for keeping your creel
are March 15 thru April 30 and sometimes it is extended to meet
the needs of the State. Fish are still there after the season
closes, just call or write with your questions. Corporate,
family or just you and your dog we fish.

The Lake fishing trip is a very relaxing,
enjoyable fish catching trip. I have developed several ways to
catch the different species of fish in this area and you will
have the opportunity to experience a different way of fishing
with something other than a hook and bobber.
The lake trip is a chance to go out on the
water with family members, your co-workers, visitors from out of
town or just because you wanted to do something different. Make
no mistake; these trips are for catching fish and not just a
boat ride!

The Striped Bass fishing trip is a first
class, professionally guided trip on the upper most reach of the
Roanoke River. Water level permitting, the river pontoon boat is the
primary boat for the season, making every trip a very comfortable
and safer drift as opposed to the safe but limited walk around space
the other Jon boats offer.
The upper most reach of the Roanoke River is
considered by some to be the Striper Capital of the World. The
majority of my clients are return customers coming back year after
year to this wild but wondrous blessing of nature. One day fishing
on the Roanoke River will give you a life time of memories, so don’t
forget the camera!
