Take a look at the new Carolina Sportsman Guide Service fishing boat for
the upcoming season.
After boating over 1600 fish this past 2005 season, I
realized I needed more room to move around.
This boat will fish up to 6 people and your favorite four legged friend in
case you cannot find a pet sitter.
If it’s to hot we can put up the top and
continue the fishing. Just spin around and let me bait you up for the next
bite.
This boat is so comfortable my wife wants to go fishing with me all the
time.

Location Roanoke Rapids is located off I 95 Exit #173. Roanoke Rapids Lake is a 34 mile long lake with 350 miles of shoreline. The Roanoke River is fed by the Roanoke Rapids Lake starting at the Tail Race Dam and continues to the ocean. | Your Personal Fishing Guide If you never have caught a game fish 20+ pounds then you need to reserve a spot with me here at the CAROLINA SPORTSMAN Guide Service. The striped bass are at their peak spawning habits in early May in the upper Roanoke River. The season opens in March and continues through the end of April, although the striped bass continue to occupy these rapids until months later. These fish and several others are in the river shoulder to shoulder and will hit a shoe if you tie a line to it! It is possible to catch up to one hundred fish in a single day. I have been catching fish on this river since 1975 and I want to share this adventure with others. Live shad or cut herring are the baits of my choice but I will occasionally throw white or yellow buck tails for some additional action. If you are looking for some father and son bonding or just some good ole times with a couple of buddies, reserve your spot now and come join me so you too can get a sore elbow! I have developed several ways to catch the different species of fish in this area and you will have the opportunity to experience a different way of fishing with something other than a hook and bobber. The lake trip is a chance to go out on the water with family members, your co-workers, visitors from out of town or just because you wanted to do something different. Roanoke River fishing trips Striped Bass The Striped Bass fishing trip is a first class, professionally guided trip on the upper most reach of the Roanoke River. Water level permitting, the river pontoon boat is the primary boat for the season, making every trip a very comfortable and safer drift as opposed to the safe but limited walk around space the other Jon boats offer. The upper most reach of the Roanoke River is considered by some to be the Striper Capital of the World. The majority of my clients are return customers coming back year after year to this wild but wondrous blessing of nature.
